Autumn Rugby International Betting

The Autumn Rugby Internationals begin on Saturday 7th October when England take on Australia (14.30 at Twickenham) and Wales challenge New Zealand (17.15 Millennium Stadium).

The bookies favour the Wallabies against an England team weakened by injuries and, despite all the ‘Welcoming to the Hillsides’ of the All Blacks, they do not think that this will make up for previous Welsh poor showings.

Unfortunately the England side is significantly weakened by injuries and many players in Saturday’s team are lacking in experience, though many England fans will be very happy to see Jonny Wilkinson and Steve Thompson back in the side. This match could very well depend on how well England handles the scrum.

Warren Gatland, the Welsh coach has stated that the All Blacks had lost their aura of invincibility following their recent defeats, but the All Blacks coach Graham Henry when questioned about this merely said that he did not know what the word ‘aura’ meant.

Logically, it is likely that the All Blacks will win the day, but it could be by a small margin. It could be that at 9/2 Wales are worth a gamble.
