Her single was the fastest selling single of the year and she soared to the top of the charts with her first album ‘3 Words’. This means that she has had two number one albums and has amassed seven million album sales. She has made twenty singles each of which has been in the top ten. She has had four Brit Award nominations. The nation has taken her to their heats. She performed live on X Factor which attracted a record viewing audience of fifteen million.

All this has been carefully managed. Her profile was developed through repeated appearances in the tabloid press and glossy magazines which have highlighted her part in Girls Aloud and her personal life including her marriage to Ashley Cole. This led to her appointment as an X Factor judge and her subsequent performance, and in its turn to her contract as the face of L'Oréal.

But it is more than just marketing. Cheryl is not just a pretty face and a perfect body. She possesses a warm and intelligent personality that wins people’s hearts. She is authentic and solid, honest and real.

Given what she has achieved so far, it is not surprising that there is much talk of her acting abilities. Recently there has been talk that she is being sought to be the new Dr Who assistant, but now that has gone further. There is speculation that she will be the next James Bond girl.
