More England Rugby Changes before New Zealand Showdown

Martin Johnson has been enduring a barrage of criticism directed at both himself and his coaching team following last weekend’s game against Argentina. In response, more team changes are being made ahead of the match against the All Blacks this weekend.
Johnson has spent much of the time since the game against Argentina on the defence, which is not surprising given has he has been castigated by just about every sports writer in the country.
Concerns have been expressed regarding his ability to do the job, in particular whether he is able to improve the side. In response he said that they had put up their hands and had admitted to their second half errors. He also said that it seemed as if everyone had forgotten the fact that England actually won the match. He then went on to express that he and his coaching team know that they are capable of achieving significant improvements. He claimed that they are able to absorb the pressure and that the players are united in their determination to win; they also know that in order to do so improvements in their game are necessary.
Lewis Moody, who alongside Jonny Wilkinson is the best England player at the moment, has also said that improvements in certain areas are necessary, but he believes that England’s confidence will be bolstered by their win against Argentina.
A number of changes have been made ahead of Saturday’s game. Ayoola Erinle will receive his first England cap, replacing Shan Geraghty. He will play at centre and the previous centre, Mark Cueto, will play full back.
Ugo Monye will return to the wing after demonstrating for the second time that he is out of place, in fact like a fish out of water, trying to play at full back.
In addition, Joe Worsley will replace Louis Deacon on second row and Simon Shaw will replace the flanker Tom Croft.
Despite these changes, England will remain the underdog. The best odds on an England victory are 8/1 at Betfair and for a win for New Zealand are 1/8 at Extrabet.
