A single point is all that is needed from Arsenal’s two remaining Champions League group games to progress into the next stage of the competition. An impressive campaign so far this season was summed up in their last match against AZ Alkmaar, which ended in a 4-1 victory. Arsene Wenger will be looking to get qualification sewn up tonight though as his side face a potentially tricky trip to Olympiakos in the final fixture of the group.

The French boss has his fair share of injuries to deal with going into the fixture. Star striker Robin Van Persie, who is out for 6 weeks thanks to an ankle knock he picked up last week on international duty. Nicklas Bendtner is also unavailable, which could mean a mouth-watering strike force of Carlos Vela and Eduardo for the Gunners tonight. Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski still isn’t fit enough to return to the starting line up, so it looks like Manuel Almunia will keep his place between the sticks. Abou Diaby, Gael Clichy and Johan Djourou make up the list of unavailable players to Wenger.
This is a big game for Standard Liege, who will be knocked out the tournament if they fail to win and Olympiakos pick up a victory against bottom of the group AZ Alkmaar. Standard did pick up an impressive 2-0 victory in their last Champions League game which has kept their hopes alive thus far. The Belgians will be without Steven Defour, Mohamed Sarr and Cedric Collet.
It’s hard to see Liege sitting back and hoping for a point in this game, realistically, if they are going to progress to the next stage of the competition they need a win, and this should make for a open game. Arsenal are without a couple of the players they usually look to for goals but have more than enough quality to bag 3 or 4 tonight so the over 2.5 goals at 4/7 with Paddy Power could be a decent shout. There are holes in the Gunners defence though; they have kept just the one clean sheet in their last 8 games in all competitions, William Hill offer 21/20 on both teams scoring.
