England Poised to Win Second One Day International Against Bangladesh

The second One Day International (ODI) against Bangladesh will be held on Tuesday 2nd March and it should be a match that England can take in its stride, but it is never too wise to take anything for granted in the one day game.
Much of the credit for winning the first of this series can be attributed to Paul Collingwood who on a useful score of 75 runs and in doing so managed to stabilise the somewhat wobbling boat of the England batsmen; at one stage England was of 96 for three.
Bangladesh had performed fairly well. Being put in to bat by England they were able to amass 228 runs all out of which 125 runs were made by Tamim Iqbal. It is unfortunate that some of their other batsmen were unable to follow his lead. They were all out with four overs to go and in the end they lost by six wickets.
This was Alistair Cooks first taste of leading his country and he was also able to hit 64 runs off 68 balls before going out lbw. He opened the innings with the new young England hopeful Craig Kieswetter who struggled somewhat before finally going out for 19 runs. Again Pietersen failed with the bat and one must speculate whether his days with England are numbered.
This was Tamim Iqbal’s third century in seventy four ODIs. Still only 20 years old, he is looking like a major force for Bangladesh. From the first 32 balls that he faced he hit fifty runs and in one innings he hit three boundaries which included one six.
Bangladesh has yet to beat England and the latter is the clear favourite for the second ODI and is priced by Bwin to win at 11/2.
