Wayne Rooney Urges England Fans Not to Boo John Terry

Wayne Rooney has made a plea to England fans not to boo John Terry in this Wednesday's international friendly against Egypt.
The Manchester United start striker wants fans to display their support for Terry who was recently stripped of the England captaincy following allegations he had been involved in an affair with former Chelsea team mate Wayne Bridge's ex-girlfriend.
"He [Terry] hasn't got the armband but he's still a great player and a great leader," said Rooney.
Meanwhile, Rooney has declared that he is fit for the friendly at Wembley despite suffering from a knee injury in Sunday's Carling Cup final.
Rooney scored the winner for the Red Devil's to secure the cu after coming on as a substitute for an injured Michael Owen.
Terry has been in the media spotlight following an alleged affair with Vanessa Peroncell, the mother of Wayne Bridge's child.
Bridge snubbed Terry by refusing to shake his hand before Chelsea and Manchester City's clash at Stamford Bridge over the weekend.
Terry was taunted by City fans during Chelsea's 4-2 defeat on Saturday.
Bridge has also removed himself from selection for the England side over the incident, saying his position had become “untenable and potentially divisive”.
Rooney hopes that Terry gets “the same as normal” reception on Wednesday.
"I've been in the team when a few players have been booed at Wembley and it's not nice - it doesn't send the right message.
"I hope he gets a good reception. When you are leading up to a World Cup, you want the fans behind us and giving us their full support because that will be really important." stated Rooney.
Victor Chandler offer odds of 2/5 for an England win and 7/2 for Egypt emerging triumphant.
