Wolves Square Off Against Burnley

Under the threat of relegation, manager Brian Laws is desperate to acquire points to drive Burnley away from danger. Operating at home, at Turf Moor, this Saturday, his squad will attempt to draw these much needed points from Mick McCarthy’s Wolves.
However, the Wolverhampton Wanderers are in no stable circumstances, on par with Burnley at 24 points, yet occupying the position just above Laws side in the tables. This is a circumstance shared by many teams at this stage in the season.
The Burnley injury roster is not too severe with McCann and Caldwell missing the game due to injury.
Player Steven fletcher, who has been enduring an injury, that caused him to miss recent fixtures against Arsenal and Stoke, could return to the pitch on Saturday as Brian Laws commented, "Fletcher still has a great chance….. He just missed out on Wednesday, but another couple of days under his belt on the training ground might give him a great chance for Saturday, for sure…..He's a great player for us and we're better for him in it than out of it."
Burnley have been unable to keep a clean sheet in their past 5 fixtures with only one minor success, in their most recent game, against Stoke that resulted in a 1-1 draw. A total of 14 goals have been conceded against them in these meetings.
Mick McCarthy’s side have achieved little more with a total of 6 shots meeting the back of their own net and just one success in their most recent meetings; a 1-0 defeat of Spurs.
Wolves will undoubtedly need to apply the pressure as significant contributors; Kightly and Edwards will be missing the game due to injury, leaving the team relying on striker Sam Vokes to supply relief.
Manager Mick McCarthy mentioned this on the team’s reliance on the player, "As long as we have breath we will carry on fighting and you never know, he could be the one who gets the goal to keep us up."
Wolves have dominated the play in previous meetings between these sides. A total of 7 defeats of Burnley by Wolves leaves Mick McCarthy’s squad as the clear favourite.
