FHM Sexiest Woman of the Year Dominated by Jilted Wives

Cheating husbands should be hitting themselves right now, as jilted lovers Cheryl Cole, Tess Daly and Elin Nordegren are high up on the list of candidates for this year’s FHM Sexiest Woman Award.

Cheryl is currently in the lead with odds of 4/11 from Paddy Power. Having settled into her comfy nook as the nation’s sweetheart, the Parachute singer has been continuously gaining support and fans over the duration of her break-up with footballer husband Ashley Cole. However, although the singer seemed to be regaining her confidence and independence, lined up to perform on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross and to sing on Radio 1’s Live Lounge tomorrow, reports state that ill health has forced her to cancel all upcoming promotional appearances. That doesn’t seem to be affecting the odds, though, and Cheryl looks to be the favourite for winning the title of Sexiest Woman 2010.

Close behind her though is Tess Daly, who has similarly recently gone through an embarrassing ordeal when husband Vernon Kay was discovered to have been sending sexual text messages to five other women. The Strictly Come Dancing judge was said to be “shattered” when she found out, but has now publicly declared on BBC’s The One Show that the couple are working through the issues. Having been married for ten years, Daly insisted that their relationship is “worth fighting for”. Hopefully Vernon has realised the error of his ways; with a wife who has odds of 8/1 on winning Sexiest Woman 2010, who needs sexting?

Vernon and Tess are not the only couple to make another go of it, as Tiger Woods and wife Elin Nordegren have been seen kissing in public. Their marriage almost came to a rocky end recently when first New York party girl Rachel Uchitel and then several other reported mistresses surfaced to reveal Tiger’s multiple indiscretions. Woods then publicly apologised for these transgressions, and it looks as though Nordegren has decided to give him another chance. Support for her has soared, and she is currently at fifth place in the odds for winning Sexiest Woman at 14/1 from Paddy Power.
