Spain Qualify From Group Stages

Pre-tournament favourites Spain have avoided the inglorious fate of Italy and France by beating South American side Chile to secure a deserved place in the last-16.
They now face neighbours and rivals Portugal in the next round.
The Euro 2008 winners showed their class in a 2-1 victory over an impressive Chilean squad with goals from David Villa and Andres Iniesta. They have put behind their shock 1-0 defeat to Switzerland to finish top of Group H.
Chile qualifies in second place and will meet football juggernaut Brazil in a South American clash.
Elsewhere in Group H, Switzerland crashed out in a 0-0 draw with Honduras in a disappointing display. The European giant-killers needed a 2-0 win to ensure qualification. The Swiss were unable to find a way past the obstinate Central American defence. In spite of the need to convert attacks into goals, the Swiss seemed surprisingly over-cautious for the occasion.
Honduras themselves missed several opportunities and now they join Algeria on the plane home as a side that failed to find the back of the net in South Africa.
Spain go into their battle with Portugal as favourites despite Portugal emphatically beating North Korea 7-0 earlier on in Group G. Party Bets, 888 Sport and Blue Square are all offering odds of 10/11 for the European champions to gain a coveted quarter spot.
