Andy Murray filled with confidence after beating Roger Federer

Beating Swiss Tennis legend Roger Federer is bound to boost anybody's confidence so it is hard to blame Andy Murray as he fancies his chances in the upcoming US Open.
Britain's number one beat Federer in the final of the Rogers Cup, 7-5 7-5 on Sunday to pick up his first title of the year in Toronto, Canada.
Murray was defending his title from the previous year and played some superb tennis in a match that was hampered frequently by the rain.
Not only did Murray beat 16-time Grand Slam Champion Roger Federer, he also dispatched David Nalbandian and even current world number one and Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal in the last four of the competition.
Murray believes the Rogers Cup was excellent preparation for the impending US Open which is due to start on August 30th.
"The US Open is the main goal but this is a good start," said the world number four.
"I played five days in a row from Wednesday - all the matches right in the heat of the day so it was good for me physically,
"It was good for me to win today [Sunday]," stated Murray. "Three good results in a row against Nalbandian, Rafa and Roger, so that will give me confidence for next week."
Murray has also stated that he is enjoying the extra freedom granted from having no coach, and reiterated the fact that he is in no rush to find a replacement coach for Miles Maclagan, who he parted company with at the end of July.
"I'm not going to rush into anything. I'm sure after the US Open I'll look long and hard at who I would like to work with and what I'd like to do moving forward but I can't see myself making any changes before the US Open."
Sky Bet, Coral and Sporting Bet give Andy Murray 11/4 odds of winning the US Open.
