Bob Bradley expresses interest in Aston Villa position

Martin O'Neill has left a managerial vacancy at Aston Villa which the club described as needing to be filled quickly, this has led to United States coach Bob Bradley saying that he could potentially be the man for the job.
The US coach has that he would be “honoured” to speak with Villa's owner Randy Lerner about filling the shoes left by O'Neill.
Bradley has been in the frame as of late after taking an impressive looking US side to the South African World Cup, leading to speculation that he is a promising contender to take the job at Villa.
The 52-year-old American has admitted that although has had no official contact with Aston Villa's owner, he would jump at the opportunity and has set his representatives the task of putting their feelers out.
"I've had no contact with him. There have been talks with my representatives to find out the situation." said Bradley.
Upon O'Neill's departure after four years in charge of the club, Lerner said that he would be aiming to name his successor by the second game of the new Premier League season – a deadline that is rapidly approaching.
Bradley is still under contract with the US until the end of the year but has spoke of his interest in coaching in Europe, especially after the buzz created by his side's strong performance in South Africa.
"Following the World Cup there have been some discussions with US Soccer about what the future holds and we will continue those discussions in the next few weeks and we will see what happens.” stated Bradley.
Aston Villa will play Everton on August 29th with Sky Bet offering 11/5 odds of a win for the Toffees, while Bwin and Betfair set their odds at 21/10.
