City Cut to 11/2 After Liverpool Rout
Manchester City have been cut from 9/1 to as little as 11/2 with some bookmakers after their 3-0 thrashing of Liverpool at Eastlands last night.
City were cut in price across the board as Carlos Tevez and Gareth Barry put Liverpool to the sword in front of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, watching the club that he bought in 2008.
City are now 7/1 best price with Skybet, Betfred, Sportingbet, Victor Chandler, Paddy Power and Stan James, although their price has dropped to as low as 11/2 with Extrabet.
"City's display on Monday night suggests they will be serious title contenders and that United will be hard-pressed to finish above them this season," said Graham Sharpe, spokesperson for William Hill.
Chelsea are best price 13/10 favourites for the title with Boylesports, with Manchester United a general 5/2.
Arsenal are best price 6/1 with Victor Chandler while last night’s result saw Liverpool drift out from 14/1 to 28/1 with Betfred and Extrabet.
