Haye Made 1/7 Favourite After Announcing Harrison Bout

David Haye has been established as the 1/7 odds-on favourite after announcing that he will make the second defence of his WBA world heavyweight title against fellow Briton and 2000 Olympic gold medallist Audley Harrison.

Harrison has been lined up as Haye’s second opponent since he claimed the WBC belt against Nikolai Valuev in November 2009 and the pair will fight at the MEN Arena in Manchester on November 13.

Commenting on the fight, Haye claimed: "I don't believe Audley deserves a chance but enough people want to see him finally destroyed, that is why this fight is happening,”

The bookmakers appear to agree with The Hayemaker, who is available at a best price 1/7 with Bet365. Harrison, who has a 26-4 professional record after defeats to Martin Rogan, Michael Sprott, Dominic Guinn and Danny Williams, is at 11/2 generally.

 "The fight will be a public execution," added Haye. "His resume is not as good as that of the last five people I have fought.

"Everybody feels passionately that they want me to finally close the curtain on the joke that is the Audley Harrison show.

"Audley has known me for years, he knows how devastating I am in the ring. He knows it first hand from sparring sessions. I'm no joke.
"I'm the most devastating fighter on the planet. This is the time your career gets well and truly finished."

Haye is 4/9 to win by KO, TKO or disqualification generally and 4/1 to win on points. Sky Bet are offering even money that Haye wins within the first six rounds and 15/8 that he wins within the first four.
