Despite allegations into Manchester United star striker Wayne Rooney's personal life, it appears that he will still be accompanying the England team as they travel to Switzerland to play the second of their Euro 2012 qualifying matches.

There have been stories published in both the News of the World and the Sunday Mirror that Rooney has been unfaithful to his pregnant wife.

When asked about Rooney's situation, the Football Association has said that it expects all of it's squad to be travelling to Basle.

The FA will be keen to keep the striker in a squad that has recently been hit with a spate of injuries and retirements, especially after his performance against Bulgaria where England looked back in familiar form and picked up a comfortable 4-0 win.

Rooney's domestic football does not seem to have been affected by the allegations either as he put an end to a five-month goal drought during Manchester United's 3-0 victory over West Ham in the Premier League.

For many England fans, the victory over Bulgaria goes some to helping ease the pain inflicted by a terrible performance in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

England manager Fabio Capello can breathe a brief sigh of relief as he for once things seem to be going his way as he enjoyed watching his side get their Euro 2012 campaign off to the best possible start.

Things may not be so easy for the Italian in against Switzerland as the England squad is riddled with injuries with have excluded the possibility of John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Peter Crouch, Michael Dawson and Bobby Zamora featuring in the game.

Victor Chandler offer 10/3 odds that Switzerland will beat Capello's side to put a spanner in the works of their Euro 2012 campaign, while Stan James and 888sport set their odds at 10/3 and 16/5 respectively.
