United Cut to 7/1 As All British CL Final Cut to 13/2
Manchester United are now down to 8/1 from 9/1 to win the Champions League after last night’s 1-0 victory over Valencia, whilst favourites Barcelona have drifted to 3/1 best price with Unibet after a 1-1 draw with Rubin Kazan.
After a disappointing draw in their Champions League opener against Rangers, Javier Hernandez’s late winner secured a crucial victory for United in the Mestalla, taking Sir Alex Ferguson’s side to the top of Group C.
Rangers joined them on four points with a 1-0 win over Buraspor and the Glaswegian’s are down to 5/2 with Paddy Power to qualify from the group.
Meanwhile, tournament favourites Barcelona drifted out after relying on a David Villa penalty to rescue a point for them against Russian side Rubin Kazan.
Tottenham Hotspur were also big movers in the Champions League market, being cut from 33/1 to 25/1 by some bookmakers after their 4-1 win over Twente, although a best price of 40/1 is still available with BlueSQ, 888sport, Boylesports, bwin and Bodog.
With all five British sides winning in the Champions League this week, William Hill have also cut the price on an all-British final from 7/1 to 13/2.
“Everything seems to be proceeding very nicely for the Brits thus far with Rangers also unbeaten so far,” said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
