Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell square up on the X Factor
The bickering behind the scenes of the X-Factor is continuing and this time it’s Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell squaring up.
The pair had been bickering on Saturday's show but it was during the results show when Cowell was able to get his revenge by axing Walsh's act John Adeleye.
Walsh had criticised Cowell's mentoring abilities on Saturday and as a final insult to Louis when sending his act home he told Adeleye that "'I just don't think you've been looked after properly."
The 29 year-old had had to go through a tense sing off in the bottom two against Treyc Cohen. However, all the judges, bar Louis, voted to save Treyc sending John Adeleye home.
Cowell had the deciding vote and declared: "Judging on the sing off, I'm going to send John home."
He also accused Walsh of failing to mentor his acts properly and making bad song choices.
And on Saturday night Louis had told Cowell that he failed to give girl group Belle Amie enough guidance.
The group had been favourite to leave the show at the weekend but were saved by the public vote.
Meanwhile, Matt Cardle has been tipped to win the show. According to a poll by YouGov the 27-year-old has come out top in the popularity stakes, with 26 per cent of X Factor fans picking him as their favourite contestant.
The dubious honour of least favourite goes to Wagner Carrilho who has 21 per cent of the least-favourite vote. While, Cheryl Cole's protégé Cher Lloyd was voted the second most hated – 18 per cent of the show’s fans picked her as their least favourite contestant.
And it is not just the public backing Matt the bookies are too. He has odds of 7/4 with Betfred to win the show and odds of 13/8 with 888sports and totesport.
One Direction has odds of 11/4 with Bet365, Boylesports and Betfred to win the show. Rebecca Ferguson has odds of 11/2 with sportingbet and Victor Chandler and 9/2 with totesport. While Cher Lloyd has odds of 10/1 with Bet365, Skybet and Victor Chandler.
