Cowell down to one act on X Factor
Simon Cowell has been left with only one act in this year's X-Factor after girl group Belle Amie was booted of the show.
The group had been in the bottom two with Katie Waisell and for the first time in this series the vote went to deadlock.
Belle Amie did their best in the sing off when singing to Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway.
And before singing for their survival the girls told Dermot O'Leary "We are ready to fight for our place. We want to be here."
However, it wasn't to be their night as they sang both out of tune and time.
Katie chose to sing Etta James' Trust In Me told Dermot: "I'm feeling nervous but OK. A little kind of..." before trailing off.
She managed to make it all the way through the track before breaking down in tears as she realised she could be the one leaving the show.
Voting to keep Belle Amie in the show Simon told Katie: "The most amazing thing with you Katie is that every time you're in this position you sing better than you do on the main show."
However, Simon then added: "But 100 per cent I'm going to stand by my girls."
Cheryl decided to back her own act Katie while Dannii also chose to save Katie. However, in a surprise move Louis Walsh decided to send Katie home leaving the decision at deadlock. And as Belle Amie had fewer public votes they were sent home.
However, the bands exit was overshadowed by the performance of Jamiroquai as Cheryl and Dannii refused to clap the star, who was performing on the show, after he had launched a tirade at the pair.
Former lion tamer Wagner is favourite to be eliminated from the show this weekend with odds of 3/1 with Betfred and 5/2 with Paddypower and Stanjames. Treyc Cohen has odds of 3/1 with Boylesports, Victor Chandler and Paddypower that she will be eliminated from the show next. While Katie is priced at 10/3 with Bet365 to be the next to be given the boot and she also has odds of 3/1 with Coral and Ladbrokes.
