Tina O'Brien latest to leave Strictly
Corrie's Tina O'Brien has become the latest celeb to get the boot from Strictly Come Dancing.
The star had impressed the judges with her other routines but on Saturday her performance failed to wow the judges leaving her in the bottom two.
With judge Bruno Tonioli telling her "You see this beautiful girl and you think, "Come on, give it to me", but it never quite gets there".
And it seems that the viewers agree, voting instead to save the Good Life's Felicity Kendall.
Her early exit clearly upset the star who apologised to her partner Jared Murillo, she told Tess Daly:
"I'm going to miss everything. I've had the best time ever and I can't thank you all enough. And I just want to say sorry to Jared because I just wanted to do more and I'm really sorry.
"My love of dancing is something I want to carry on for the rest of my life."
But once again it was ex-MP Ann Widdecombe who provided the week's entertainment. She was twirled round the floor by dance partner Anton Du Beke in a move which was described by judge Alesha Dixon as being like a "hoover".
But according to Du Beke Widdecombe is not about to quit the show as John Sergeant did in 2008 after criticisms that his inclusion in the show had turned it into a joke.
According to Hello Magazine Du Beke has said:"Maybe she will continue to be swept along for a time. But we will never be top of the leader board with the judges, so we are at the mercy of the public."
"I don’t worry about it because I can't control it. All I can control is what happens on the dance floor and hope that viewers enjoy it."
Countryfile presenter Matt Baker is currently favourite to win the show with odds of 15/8 with Bodog, William Hill and Paddypower. Eastender Scott Maslan has odd of 2/1 with extrabet, Boylesports and Bet365. Kara Tointon is priced at 13/2 with Skybet and 11/2 with Bluesq and 888sport. Ann Widdecombe has odds of 20/1 with Stanjames and Victor Chandler and 10/1 with Bet265 to win the show.
