Holly Willoughby announced second pregnancy live on air
Holly Willoughby has announced that she is expecting her second baby. She told viewers on the news while presenting This Morning on Monday with co-host Phillip Schofield.
The 29-year-old revealed that she was three months pregnant and the baby was due in May.
She said that her and husband TV producer Dan Baldwin, who she married in West Sussex in August 2007, were "thrilled", as were the rest of her family and friends.
The star, who had been away from the show for a week because of half term, told the audience "It's a relief [to be back] because I can finally say the lovely news that Dan and I are expecting another baby."
Asked how she was doing by Schofield, Holly added that she was "really, really well, really good actually."
She said she had only suffered a couple of days of morning sickness so far and was hoping things would stay that way.
And in a statement the couple, who already have an 18 month old baby boy called Harry, said: "Dan and I are absolutely thrilled to be expecting our second child, due next May. We can't wait for Harry to have a brother or sister."
Phillip Schofield, who had known for weeks, was one of the first people to offer his "many many congratulations", adding: "Terrific, and thank goodness for that, the secret is out."
Her friend Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton was also full of congratulations, tweeting: "Congratulations to my darling friend @hollywills who has just announced on This Morning that she is having another bubba!!"
And after the show Willoughby took to Twitter saying: "Thank you for all your lovely messages, Dan and I are over the moon about having another addition to the family ... Xxx"
Ladbrokes are currently taking bets on what sex the new baby will be with odds of 4/5 that it will be a girl, 9/10 that it will be a boy and 12/1 that she will have twins.
