Torres 8/1 To Score In Champions League Final
Boylesports is offering 8/1 that Fernando Torres finds the net in the Champions League final after the Spaniard made a sensational £50md deadline day move to Chelsea.
The World Cup winner became the most expensive player in Britain yesterday on a day which also saw Liverpool pay a whopping £35m for Newcastle's Andy Carroll, but Boylesports have claimed that Liverpool have got the best deal of the two clubs, despite paying a record fee for the 26-year-old.
With four other big name strikers making a move in the Premier League this January; Edin Dzeko at Manchester City, Luis Suarez at Liverpool, Darren Bent at Aston Villa and Carroll, Torres is 6/4 to outscore the lot from February 1 until the end of thes season, with Dzeko expected to give the new Chelsea star the biggest competition at 13/5.
Suarez and Bent are tied on 9/2 whilst Carroll could have to work much harder to justify his £35m price tag, priced at 11/2.
Boylesports.com are also 5/6 that Torres outscored Suarez and Carroll from February 1 until the end of the season.
“Yesterday’s deadline day will certainly go down as one of the most exciting in history, with some huge deals going through right up until the last minute,” said Boylesports.com Head of Public Relations, Leon Blanche.
“The headline moves were obviously the Torres and Carroll deals but we think that Chelsea have come up trumps with Torres. He has got the pedigree and the track record to put some life back into this title race.”
