Sebastian Vettel plans future with Red Bull
Red Bull fans have been pleased to hear the latest news concerning World Champion, Sebastian Vettel: the young, German driver has extended his contract with the competitive Formula One side.
The new contract means that Formula One's youngest ever champion is going to be staying with Red Bull until at least the end of 2014.
The move shows the level of faith that the top racing team have in the 23-year-old driver, who they believe to be as capable as any of the sport's other stars.
Vettel and Red Bull have developed a comfortable relationship during the course of his relatively short career; Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has been forthright in his praise of the bond that they have attained.
"Sebastian feels very comfortable within the team and the team feels very comfortable with him," stated the Red Bull team boss.
"We started to talk about it earlier in the year and it came together quickly."
The sentiments were echoed by the driver himself, who said: "The reason why I'll stay until 2014 with Red Bull Racing is that I feel very comfortable in the team.
"I am proud to be part of the team, and I am proud of what we have archived so far and will achieve together in the future."
The extension of Vettel's contract puts to bed rumours of the possibility that the young, German driver could possibly be linked with a move to Mercedes or even rivals Ferrari.
Horner has been pleased to put an end to such speculation, giving Vettel and Red Bull time to concentrate on the upcoming season.
"We were keen to take away that distraction and concentrate on the racing." added Horner.
Paddy Power, Sky Bet and bet365 offer 9/4 odds that Sebastian Vettel will go on to win the 2011 drivers' championship.
