24 year-old Clancy returned for her fashion slot on Tuesday but tellingly she was not wearing her engagement ring. It was the first time she had appeared on TV since allegations that Crouch had cheated on her first surfaced.

She appeared relatively cheerful as she discussed the latest denim trends on the popular show.

She even managed to share a joke with host Eamonn Holmes, who asked her if she wanted to see a photograph of him from the 1970s in flares.

She replied: “I want a laugh. I need one!” which was followed by Holmes giving her a spontaneous hug telling her when she had finished her slot “Welcome back, it's very nice to see you again.”

Clancy failed to appear on This Morning for the last fortnight after pictures of Peter Crouch seemingly touching the thigh of a woman in a French nightclub emerged. The photos followed allegations that Crouch had paid for a prostitute in Madrid.

He allegedly had sex with the woman on a friend’s stag do in the Spanish city. The Algerian vice girl, known as Monica Mint, claims he agreed to pay £800 for sex and whisked her away in a taxi

But according to friends she Clancy is now throwing herself into her work. A friend told Closer magazine: “Abbey is throwing herself back into work to take her mind off the painful situation. She still feels so angry, and isn't really speaking to Pete.

“She's also terrified of taking him back and then finding out there have been more girls. She feels very lost.”

Paddy Power are currently running a book on how many more women will claim to have an affair with Peter Crouch. They have odds of 5/4 that no more women will claim to have had an affair with him, they have odds of 7/2 that one more women will come forward, 5/1 that there will be two more making allegations and 2/1 that there will be three or more.

While Bodog has odds of 1/4 that they will split before 2011 and 11/4 that they won’t split before next year.
